FAQ: What Are Your Fee Ranges For Consulting?

Typically, you can expect to receive 3-500% ROI on your investment in my consulting help and support, but it largely depends on your self-confidence to aim high and commitment to implement.

Before we start, we go through a detailed diagnosis to establish what you want to achieve and based on that, you decide at what service level your budget allows you to request my help: Using airline language, you can travel first class, coach, tucked away in the cargo hole or strapped to the roof rack. Either way, you reach your destination, but there is a difference in the quality of the journey.

For instance, a few years ago a web design firm was bidding on a web design project and was about to submit a proposal for $7,800. Before submission, I helped the firm to re-word the proposal and change the overall structure and languaging to make it more client focused, emphasising the value the client receives from the successful completion of the project. The proposal was accepted at $23,800, a 205% improvement on the original document.

The review took about 30 minutes. I got paid $1,000 for the review plus another $5,000 when the proposal was accepted. While this may look like a lot for 30 minutes of "real work", which was really 14 years of experience, $430,000 worth of education and thousands of hours of experimenting. And some people may even say that I gouged the client, but the fact is that my expertise created an extra - $23,800-$7,800 = $16,000. I took $6,000, and the client took $10,000. Is this really gouging? You tell me.

So, your investment depends on what you're aiming to build; a doghouse or a castle.
