FAQ: What Are Your Copywriting Turnaround Times?

p>The typical turnaround time is six weeks, but it also depends on the nature of the copy I'm asked to write. Now, this may sound a bit long, but just as you can't rush love, you can't rush good copy.

Well, as Bon Scott once sang us in the old AC-DC song, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, good copy is neither cheap nor quick.

But here's a rough time frame estimate...

1-2 weeks: Short 1 page letters, pay per click (e.g. Google AdWords) advertisements and press releases.

2-4 weeks: Feature articles, small direct mail packages, space- and classified lead generation advertisements, lead-generating articles, newspaper and magazine advertisements and short sales brochures.

3-4 weeks: Brochures, short email sequences, Yellow Pages advertisements, service proposals, email autoresponder series, web pages, press kits, executive summaries and biographical sketches.

4-6 weeks: Business and marketing plans, letters sequence for direct-response lead generation.

6 plus weeks: Full content and sales copy for websites (1-2 weeks per page), search engine-optimised web copy (2-3 weeks per page).

But please note that these time frames are pretty general. When we start working together, we create our own time frames that largely depends on how quickly I can obtain information from you and your people.
